Yes, The Dental Office of Moody understands that dental anxiety is common and offers nitrous oxide (laughing gas), oral sedation, and IV sedation to help patients feel comfortable and relaxed during their visits.

At The Dental Office of Moody, your visit starts with a friendly greeting and a quick check-in at the front desk. You can then expect an initial look at your teeth and gums (digital X-rays may be recommended), a gentle cleaning and polishing, and an exam with your dentist toward the end of the appointment.

We follow strict infection control and safety protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment for all patients.

We offer general, cosmetic, pediatric, emergency, implant, and sedation dentistry, as well as Invisalign, periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, dentures, Botox, dental crowns, veneers, teeth cleanings, and implant prosthetics.

Our dentists are general dentists with advanced training: Dr. Anthony Engle, DMD, has training in oral sedation, Invisalign, and dental implants, and Dr. Anahat Chugh, DMD, completed a certificate program in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Michigan.

Call us at (205) 640-1717 — if the problem occurs after hours, contact us and we will forward your message to our dentists.

We offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas), oral sedation, and IV sedation to help make your visit more comfortable and stress-free. Nitrous oxide is the lightest option and lets you drive yourself home afterward, oral sedation involves taking an anti-anxiety pill about an hour before treatment, and IV sedation is the strongest form of conscious sedation with a dosage we can adjust during your procedure.

Yes — we ask you to consult with us first to see if you are a candidate, since certain medical conditions (including heart, lung, and liver problems) can be worsened by dental sedation, and to tell us about all prescription, over-the-counter, and dietary supplements you take. We also ask that you fast (clear liquids only) for 6 hours beforehand and arrange a ride home after oral or IV sedation.
